Update from SS

My SS said that the scaffoldings are going up today and if weather permits I will get a roof towards end of next week. Fingers crossed...

$2000 steel beam

In order to satisfy the folks in DRB we had to do a 350mm brick return in the rear and I had to pay $2000 for a steel beam to hold the weight of the bricks according to Wisdom. Is this the $2000 beam?

Rain Rain Go Away

Happen to be in the construction site last saturday (4th Feb) and seems like nothing much happened due to the uncharacteristic rain in this summer.

I have seen water on the floor boards of the wooden frame and wonder whether it can impact in the long run.

Plumbing is done and started on the brickwork

Frame is completed now

All went according to the plan and the frame was completed just before the Christmas break. We stop by there while driving to Blue Mountains with my mother and show her the construction in progress.

Frame - Ground floor is done

Things started to move quickly and I have a the ground floor frame is up now.

What a pleasant surprise - The slab

I happened to visit the site as I was driving arround the area and saw that slab is being laid and doing the finishing work. I was told by the SS that it will be few days away and it really did surprise me.
